One of my life’s passions is bringing fabulous people together and sitting them around a table full of wonderful food. I firmly believe that when you spoil people with food, you can never go wrong.

I grew up in Surrey, England, which gave me great exposure to both city and country life. Being so close to the city and having parents who had a deep appreciation of high quality food, I was fortunate enough to grow up accompanying them to 5-star restaurants. I have a vivid memory of being 11 with my parents at a nice restaurant and noticing for the first time how many forks, spoons and knives surrounded my plate. I was, of course, overwhelmed and had no idea the proper way to use these utensils, when a lovely lady next to me leaned over and whispered, “start from the outside, dear, and work your way in.”

Needless to say, after that dinner, I felt like I could eat with the Queen! I feel truly blessed that my parents valued good food, as it has shaped my current love of food, so much so, that not only do I love to go out to eat, but I love to make that food at home.

Whether it’s a holiday, event, throwing a party or arranging my table, I take pride in presentation. One of my favorite things to do is throw dinner parties for my closest friends. It’s around the table enjoying delicious food that I truly feel like we are all able to connect. Hostessing is a way that I feel like I can share my upbringing with my friends.
